Currently

The last few weeks I have been doing a "Currently" post.  It is fun for me to think about my week. To open up, and show bits and pieces of my daily thoughts, and life.  I'm linking up with Becky from Choose Happy.

Thinking about...How crazy busy my life has been.  Pretty sure with school aged children, and young children it won't slow down for awhile.  But to remember the little things....

Like playing with "Grandma's toys", seeing her eyes sparkle when we walked in,  their eyes sparkle back because they were able to make Grandma's birthday special in their own way.

Craving...MILK CHOCOLATE!!!!!  This month, I have been doing a candida detox using doTERRA products.  It has been an interesting journey.  A year or so ago, I stopped eating gluten, so that aspect of the cleanse wasn't bad.  It was the "no dairy", "no sugar" part, (most difficult of all) chocolate.  Sadly, I think this is a life long change for me. My body seems to be happier (minus the freezing all the time!)  Maybe I shouldn't live in the Wisconsin tundra!

Wishing...Unlimited free time with the kids.  Yesterday we took them skating. But with baby girl, I wasn't able to put skates on, and actually play hockey with the others.

Laughing...This little guy, he has been "putting on shows", "washing dishes", and just being a silly silly little boy!!!!

Thankful for…Beautiful sunrises and sunsets this last week.
Pictures just don't do them any justice.

Mother's Musing: Work At Home Mom

Being a "Work At Home Mom" makes me feel like I'm an "Insane Mom" somedays!  I snapped this picture the other day of where I was working. I was working on 2 different computers, for 2 different businesses!

Yet, when I look over at my work companion, I can't help but smile.

With all that said, the flip side is being "Work At Home Mom" also keeps me sane.

My husband and I joke saying, "God knows you can't be a stay at home mom cause he keeps putting jobs in your lap".

What is nice about being a work at home mom, I still get to enjoy these kiddos, be here when the older kids get on the bus, off the bus, attend a Mom's Bible Study, playgroup, grocery shop during the day, swimming lessons, parks, etc.  The other day, we went outside in the afternoon, and took a walk on the driveway, and played with monster trucks.

Somedays, I get up early to work before everyone gets up (not very often -I like my sleep!), when Kezia naps and Zeke watches a movie next to me, and no more then once a week I go in the evening to teach an essential oil class.

We have found a schedule and routine that works for our family.  My dream was always to be a stay at home mom, apparently God had other plans for me and I'm quite happy with my work at home mom role right now!!!!!!

Currently: Vol 16

The last few weeks I have been doing a "Currently" post.  It is fun for me to think about my week. To open up, and show bits and pieces of my daily thoughts, and life.

Enjoying the weather, pretending to drive daddy's old plow truck.

Thinking about...Once again, how incredibly BLESSED I am!  I have an amazing husband who knows when I've reached my limits, and takes up the slack.  4 healthy, energetic children.  Loving parents, and inlaws.  Awhile back, I worked on this collage going up the stairs. Wedding picture, hand prints from Father's Day, picture of each of our families, and a picture of each kid at a year (except Kezia's).

Loving...This weather.  So nice to be able to go out with baby girl and the other kids!

Reading...A new devotional for Mom's Group called "No Other Gods".  I'm looking forward to studying it with such a great group of women each week.

Planning...Menu for the week.  I am currently in the middle of a  cleanse and it is taking a bit more thought for meals then normal.
Baking...tomorrow GRANOLA!!!  Hubby brought him a 50 pounds of rolled oats tonight.

Thankful for…Beautiful sunrises and sunsets the last few days.

Excited about:  Baby girl is starting to walk.  She is changing from a baby to a little girl so fast!

Trying:  Stay warm!  So thankful I bought these boots this fall at DSW.

Enjoy your week!  The forecast here calls for highs in the uppers 20 this weekend, looking forward to it.

This Old House: Vol 13

Well....this really is a "This Old House" and "Mother's Musing" post together.

Besides helping the kids build a gingerbread house over winter break, cleaning from New Years Eve, and company, not much is happening in the house department.

Striving to just get back to "normal", after a fun filled break.  Monday morning, hubby went back to work, 2 oldest kids went to school, and the little ones and I went to Mom's Group.  Things stayed normal, until Wednesday when older kids had a snow day for -40 wind chill!  There might have been "tea time" at our house while baby girl napped!

Goal next week, is to prime and paint the last couple cabinets.

Stay warm, safe and healthy this weekend!

Currently: Vol 14

The last few weeks I have been doing a "Currently" post.  It is fun for me to think about my week. To open up, and show bits and pieces of my daily thoughts, and life.

Favorite Photo:  New Years Eve Crockpot Hot Chocolate

Contemplating:   How the kids have grown so much!  They did such a good job on their PJ pants for New Years Eve.  Ezra sewed most of his without much instruction.  Yes, it probably cost me more for them to make them.  I also couldn't disappoint them, since they have been talking about sewing them since this fall!

And sometimes,
things really don't change too much!!!!!

Laughing:  Baby Girl figured out the art of dipping french fries in ketchup this weekend.

Listening to:  Complete silence for a few minutes!  Not many times as a mom are we able to say that, and there not be trouble.  After a wonderful, crazy, week/weekend, I'm enjoying the few minutes of quiet.

Thinking about:  THE COLD!!!!!  Praying everyone stays warm and safe this week!  Currently it is -5 this afternoon, feels like -22....brrrr!!!!!!

This Old House: Vol 12

Half bath is done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even better, within our budget of under $60.  The wainscoting cost a bit more than I originally thought, but I was quite happy with it, once it was in.

LOVE the Printables from pinterest.

Not happy with the counter top now.  Biggest problem is, the hot water heat goes through the counter top. There is not an easy way to put a new one in, without draining the boiler (in the middle of winter- NOT happening, says hubby).  So I've been researching how to paint counter tops.
