Currenlty 7/27

The last few weeks I have been doing a "Currently" post.  It is fun for me to think about my week. To open up, and show bits and pieces of my daily thoughts, and life.  I'm linking up with Becky from Choose Happy.

Watching....Ezra got a mini droid for his birthday from his Aunt and Uncle.  Fun to watch him learn so fast how to fly it, do flips, and enjoying a toy his siblings can't use.

Laughing at...These kiddos going through the sprinkler!  They have had such fun going through the sprinkler in the yard while Kezia napped.  Dual purpose, they were also watching the tomatoes.

Awww....got them snuggling this morning!

Quote for the week....

Mother Musing 7/23

Sometimes you just have to smile back when they are SO proud of their accomplishment, even when it is cans of tomato sauce on the coffee table.  "Look mom....it's taller then me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Milestones...The two oldest kids finished up swimming lessons last week.  And they both passed.  So proud of the progress they have made.

County Fair...The county that I grew up fair was over the weekend.  So I took the kids for a couple hours.  Of course we had to check out food booths, animals, and since SO warm out, ice cream!!!!!

Memories...Yesterday my niece and nephew were baptized in a creek close to our house.

National Ice Cream Day...Yes we are Wisconsinites and I think every day is ice cream day.  But we made sure to get our ice cream in yesterday for National Ice Cream Day!!!!

Mother's Musing 7/16

Somedays you just have to let them play in the park in the rain no matter how dirty they get!!!!

As a kid I remember my mom letting us go play in the rain.  So even though it was cool and wet today we still meet friends at the park for lunch and playing.

Yes the one in orange is mine sitting in the mud!

Barefoot races in the rain.

Thinking this might be an afternoon they remember for quite a while.

Remembering...12 years ago I married my best friend.  So thankful for him.

Laughing at...Little Miss apparently thought she needed to "tell" daddy how to take the tire off his car!

The End...Last week was the last baseball game of the season.  The boys sure thought it was neat that they turned the lights!!!!  They had a good season and of course fun to finish off the season with a good win.  Proud of our guy.

Enjoying...Root Beer floats.  It's been hot and they kids have been asking for root beer floats.  Here is Miss Miss's first taste of root beer, she isn't quite sure if she likes it!

Baseball Themed Birthday Party

My oldest turned 10 this week. This kid lives and breathes sports! Since we just finished up baseball season this week it seemed fitting to have a baseball party!!!!

Complete with a concession stand and menu!

Hot dogs, nachos, pickle on a stick, veggies (tried for some health food), popcorn, Cracker Jacks, and peanuts in the shell.

They played a couple rounds of work up, which everyone seemed to enjoy. Even my dad got up and batted.

Mitt with ball using chocolate cupcakes for his main cake. And vanilla cupcakes into baseballs.

There was even a spot for autographs for the birthday boy.
Including autographs baseball pictures.

Everyone was tired at the end of the night but it was a good tired!!!!!

Mother's Musings: 7-9

Sometimes it is the little things during the day!  Today it was a cheap $5 pool with an inch of water in it.  Had a hard time getting all 4 kids in the picture at once.  This was a good hour of entertainment this afternoon which equals an hour of sanity brought back into mom's day.

Look at those faces of joy!  It's the little things....cause they are only little once.

The last few weeks I have been doing a "Currently" post.  It is fun for me to think about my week. To open up, and show bits and pieces of my daily thoughts, and life.  I'm linking up with Becky from Choose Happy.

Enjoying...Thursday night, Hannah and I had a little one on one time.  Grocery shopping and some ice cream at Cherry Berry!  Love spending one on one time with my kids, I forgot how they are completely different kids when not with their 3 siblings!!!!!!

Spontaneous....Friday my hubby helped my sister and brother in law take out the cement floor in their basement.  And they invited the kids and I over for supper and a hayride.  Such a relaxing Friday night.

4th....Fireworks and family Saturday night.  Another relaxing, enjoyable evening!

Birthday Double Digits....Sunday we had a baseball themed birthday party.  Can't believe he is double digits already!!!  More on the baseball themed party later this week.

Water, water everywhere...Sunday night through Monday we got a lot of rain.  This short video is of the spillway from the earth dam in the near by town.  The kids and I stopped to see it after swimming lessons.  Lots and lots of water everywhere included some in our basement since the sump pump stopped working!

This Old House: Woodchip Project

Amazing how much a pickup load of wood chips really helps make the yard beautiful!!!  I'm been sharing my front flowerbed as it's progressed.

More Progress!

Few of my favorite sections of the yard

Another project in progress over the last few years.

The old rocking chair and ladder.

Marigolds always remind me of Grandma Muriel!
I plant them each year in honor of her.

The hostas just keep getting bigger and BIGGER!!!

The 2 pots by the door have really filled out nice!

My favorite spot to sit.....my view the other night!

SO BLESSED!!!!!!!!
