Currently 6/11

Hold on tight, summer break has officially started at the Nelson house.  This week we have 3 baseball games, 2 softball games, 3 band practices, 3 days of basketball camp, Ezra has a band performance at Valley Fair, wedding in Fargo, what did I miss?!?!?!?  That is just the upcoming week, what about last week.

Lunch with friends & Day Trip to Children's Museum

Zeke lost another tooth!

Ezra attended a 'Men's Retreat' in Alfred, ND
He got to enjoy some fishing, here he is holding a 36 inch Northern Pike!

Girls day running errands & lunch

Plus a couple baseball games and a softball game.

I'm enjoying not having to get everyone up for school, especially with our crazy schedule.  It also gives me a little time each morning to head outside before the craziness begins each day!!!!!

Christian and I also got to enjoy a mini date to Menards and supper Friday night, plus no kids Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday morning thanks for my mom! Mini dates are always good for a marriage.

Praying you have a blessed week.  Follow us on Instragram for more adventures.

Hmmm where do I begin.  It's been awhile since I posted a 'Currently' but going to just jump right back in!

Thankful...Time to do yard work yesterday in MUCH nicer weather.

Worked a bit more on the new hosta bed by the door

Fruit Trees!
Still don't know what to do with the nut bushes.  This bed has be baffled on what to do with it!

Excited...Today is the kids last day of school for the year.  Not sure how is more excited them or me!!!!

Planning...Attempting to work on a Summer Bucket List, Journals and Devotions for the kids this summer.  I'm working on having less screen time for us all, few day trips, baseball, softball, swimming lessons, etc.

Currently I'm half way through this book.  A lot of things I already do but I'm also realizing working from home means that kids see me on an electronic too often.  So this summer I'm attempting a few completely nonelectronic day with them! Cause life won't slow down, I have to set the speed!!!!

Here is to the start of summer vacation.  I have a few 'projects' for the summer but mostly try to make the most of our time together.  Cherishing these days I do have with the kids!

What I Wore in May

It has been a few months since I've done a 'What I Wore' post.  I know it seems silly but I like how it keeps me accountable to getting dressed as a stay/work at home mom.  I've actually done really good about getting fully dressed with how busy we have been.  Yet when I do these posts I tend to keep a bit more variety in my wardrobe.

Final Days of School

This morning I sit at the library and realizing how fast time flies:

  • Today is Kezia's last day of school

  • 9 days left of school for the other 3 kids
  • Months have gone by since I've blogged.  I am going to try to start blogging at least weekly again.
  • How important living your life as an example is!  Last couple weeks we have attended 2 funerals and amazing to see how their lives have impacted so many.  I want to leave a legacy behind showing people that I loved and cared for each of them.

Yet another whirlwind of time that has kept me from blogging.  This time it was my husband having emergency retina surgery.  Let's just say it's been crazy, went from thinking he was going to need glaucoma surgery being his pressure kept rising to be told you have a retina tear and need surgery ASAP.  And that they think his glaucoma has been caused by the retina tear.  The recovery hasn't been super easy but better then losing complete sight in his eye.

We have also gotten bounded by a couple snow storms and expected another one today!

An idea of how much snow we have gotten, this is a couple days after the snow storm and after the kids playing in it.  I also feed the goats over in that area so my chores are that much harder to do now.

Snow day traditional homemade donuts!

We have slowly been working on our basement bathroom.  Between weight restrictions, Christian laid the flooring in the basement.

Planning out a Lego themed birthday party for Mr Zeke!

To keep myself accountable to getting dressed as a stay/work at home mom, I try to snap a quick picture of what I'm wearing for the day.  I know it's been awhile, so a little recap.
