Currently 9/28

The last few weeks I have been doing a "Currently" post.  It is fun for me to think about my week. To open up, and show bits and pieces of my daily thoughts, and life.  I'm linking up with Becky from Choose Happy.

Weekend...Things didn't go exactly as planned for my weekend in Denver area.  But I did get a chance to do a quick trip over to Boulder and a little hiking.  So beautiful!

Planning....While I was gone last trip, my hubby filled in the area between trees by the door.  I picked up a mum and pumpkin for fall.  Now to finish off the look.  Planning on attempting to make a bench to go in the area.  Then see what else I want to put in there.  Pinterest here I come!!!!!

Currently 9/21

The last few weeks I have been doing a "Currently" post.  It is fun for me to think about my week. To open up, and show bits and pieces of my daily thoughts, and life.  I'm linking up with Becky from Choose Happy.

Fall Fun...Our town had their town days.  Sunday Grandma came and enjoyed the parade with us.  Didn't take Little Miss to figure out the candy being tossed!

Preparing....It has been years since I've done a 5K and I want to get back into running again.  So I convinced my sister to do a 5K with me in November.  Who doesn't want to run for chocolate!!!!!

Planning...A quick trip to Denver area to teach a class.  Since I have never been there, trying to find a couple fun, free things to do Friday evening and Saturday afternoon.

Currently 9/15

Accomplished....At convention this year I was acknowledged on the "Silvers" wall.   So nice to put time and energy into something I love and gotten to know some amazing people!!!!

Fun...To get to spend a few days with some amazing women and friends!  

Cuddles...After a crazy week of me being gone and a long "Monday".  Last night my request was to watch a movie with the family last night.  We cuddled up on the couch for a night of "Cinderella".  Ignoring the dishes, laundry, mail, emails, blog, and anything else I felt I should be doing.

Proud of... Nephew graduating with the Marines and home for the weekend.

 Surprised....My sister flying in and surprising us all!!!!!

Fun...New tradition of paintball, hayride, etc at my sisters house.

Girls Day...Since my sister flew in for a visit and her birthday is today, us "girls" took her shopping and out to eat.

Project...Before flying out again tomorrow morning, I have a pot of spaghetti sauce cooking on the stove from ripe tomatoes from the garden.  AND we worked some more on the path between the shed and the deck!  Guess I should maybe pack for my trip.

This Old House: Back to School Decoration Edition

Last year I made this banner for a "Back to School" class I was teaching.  So I pulled it out for the back to school count down a couple weeks ago.  Figure I will leave it up for a couple more weeks before I pull out my full house FALL decorations.

Once school started I figured I probably should redo the summer chalkboards on top of the piano.  So I designed a couple fun back to school designs to put on the chalkboards.

Then added a few fake apples and stack of favorite books.

Currently 9/1

Already....September!!!!  Where did the summer go?!?!?!?  We made the best of the last week before school started.  A trip to Three Bears Lodge last week and Mall of America yesterday.

1st Day of School...This morning was the 1st day of school.  2 were very excited, one not so much!  And I will admit, after 6 years of putting kids on the bus, today was the first time to have to carry one on and peel him off, and I cried for the first time of sending a kid to school.  Pretty sure he will have a blast.  Now just praying he eagerly wants to go back in the mornings!
